On September 29th, the Chongqing-Yibin section of the Chongqing-Kunming High-Speed Railway officially opened. Ceepower’s subsidiary, Wuhan Wuchang Electric Control Co., Ltd., supplied 126 prefabricated substations, ensuring reliable power along the 192-kilometer route.

 

 

Designed for speeds of up to 350 km/h, this section significantly shortens travel times between major cities, reducing the journey from Chongqing to Luzhou East to just 26 minutes, and to Yibin Station in as little as 48 minutes. It enhances regional connectivity and supports the development of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle and the Yangtze River Economic Belt.

Sustainable Solutions 48 MW / 96 MWh Energy Storage Station in Xuwei New District

On July 25, 2024, Ceepower contributed to the full-capacity grid integration of a 48 MW / 96 MWh energy storage station in Lianyungang's Xuwei New District. As the region's first large-scale electrochemical storage system, it marks a key step in the district's move toward sustainable energy.

 

With its rapidly growing energy demands, Xuwei New District needed a reliable energy storage solution to support its green development goals. The challenge was to seamlessly integrate the system into the existing grid while ensuring long-term efficiency.

 

 

Ceepower Xiangrui Electrical Engineering Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Ceepower, provided EPC services for the project, while Beijing Ceepower Xindian Technology Co., Ltd., another Ceepower subsidiary, handled secondary equipment integration and technical support.

 

The energy storage station, spanning approximately 7,000 square-meter, is designed with an outdoor prefabricated cabin layout. It includes 12 PCS integrated units and 24 battery cabins, creating 24 storage units that connect to the 110 kV step-up substation at Nacha Riverbank via two 35 kV collection lines. This compact and efficient design ensures optimal performance and reliability.

 

 

At the core of the system lies Ceepower's independently developed Energy Storage Station Monitoring and Energy Management System, delivering real-time monitoring and management to guarantee the long-term efficiency and safety of the battery systems.

 

 

The successful commissioning of this energy storage station is a major step forward for Xuwei New District in building a modern, integrated power system that supports renewable energy.

 

The project is expected to generate 390 GWh of green electricity annually, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 340,000 tons, sulfur dioxide by 185 tons, and nitrogen oxides by 169 tons each year. On December 27-28, 2024, Ceepower held its Supplier Conference in Fuzhou. The event brought together Ceepower’s leadership, including CEO Chen Manhong and Vice President Liu Mingqiang, along with supplier representatives from across China to discuss the future of an “innovation-driven supply chain” and explore new opportunities for shared growth.

 

 

The conference opened with a speech by Cheng Hongmei, a senior official from the Fuzhou Industry and Information Technology Bureau, who highlighted the city’s commitment to green development and the renewable energy sector.
